Had a friend visit one weekend in February and he wanted to shoot around San Francisco. When driving around we found that the new lights on the Bay Bridge had already been turned on. So we tried to find a good spot along one of the piers lining the Embarcadero. We were so busy looking towards the bay bridge we nearly missed the moon setting righty by Coit Tower. I had to rush to the other side of the pier to get a clear shot of the moon before it disappeared behind the hill. The skies were clear all weekend and the fog was just barely rolling in giving a bit of a haze around the moon as it was setting. Just like the lesson I learned (and keep relearning) from last month's wallpaper, don't forget to turn around when you're shooting! You might just catch something totally unexpected.
