March has snuck up on me. Even with an extra day in February, March still came to me by surprise! I apologize for posting this a few days late. This month's free wallpaper is from Yosemite's Tunnel View. This is the view that welcomes you as you enter Yosemite Valley from the South entrance via Fresno. And What a grand welcome it is! You are greeted by the huge granite wall that is El Capitan to the left, Bridalveil Falls on the oppisite side of the photo and the valley right in between them. Half dome is dwarfed in the background. I was here last weekend on our first Yosemite Nature Walk with my photography group: Point Aim Double Tap (facebook group here). Our original intention was to view the the Horsetail Falls/Firewater phenomenon but the lack of snow this winter season left Horsetail Falls with barely a trickle. We will try again next year.
