It's officially Fall but I haven't gone out for "Fall-ish" photos yet this season. But it is October and the first thing it always reminds me of is Halloween and that holiday always reminds me of the colors orange and black.
Taken from Thousand Island Lake in Ansel Adams Wilderness, Sierra Nevada Mountain Range on our trek along the John Muir Trail. On the third day of our trip we watched these thunderstorm clouds build up and dance just over the ridge hoping the winds did not change direction and blow the storm our way. We were watching the Ritter and Garnet peaks(if you we're looking into the photo, these peaks would be behind you) for sunset, which as beautiful as they are, just did not have as interesting as a show these clouds gave. These storm clouds continued their dance throughout sunet and just gave the most amazing light show. There was also a small fire caused by a lightning strike from the storm which helped bring out the yellow/orange colors on the clouds.
